Reviews and Ratings
I had a decent stay at the resort with several positives and a few drawbacks. The room was nice and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well, but I had a mosquito problem. The location was off the main drag, which I appreciated for its quietness, but it made walking to dive spots a little annoying. The service was generally friendly, although the promised pickup from the ferry didn’t happen. Overall, it was a good value for the price, especially since it was connected to the dive center.
I had a great stay at this hotel as part of a dive package. The rooms were clean and comfortable with A/C, and the staff was polite and attentive. However, there were a few noisy nights, and the hotel is a bit far from the beach, requiring a short taxi ride. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I dove with the partner company.
Mango Inn has its ups and downs. The surroundings are lush and well-kept, with a lovely pool area for relaxation. The rooms are decent, but the bathrooms definitely need some updating, and the service was hit or miss. We faced water issues during our stay, and breakfast delays were a regular occurrence. Overall, it's budget-friendly but comes with some challenges.
My partner and I enjoyed a lovely three-week stay in a private dorm while taking diving courses. The front desk and cleaning staff were always warm and welcoming, and we appreciated the eagerness to keep the room clean. The outdoor seating and picnic area around the pool were great for relaxing. However, the bathrooms felt a bit dated and were in need of some renovations. Overall, it was a great value for the money, and we left very impressed with our stay.
Mango Inn is a cozy getaway in Utila, great for families even though the island isn’t the typical children’s destination. The rooms are spacious and clean, and we truly enjoyed the fantastic restaurant and lively pool. However, the rustic decor and a few minor issues with lighting might not suit everyone, and the overall ambiance can be a bit too relaxed if you're looking for luxury.
